Sarah Earl, Chambers Director at Old Square Chambers

Sarah Earl is Chambers Director at Old Square Chambers, having joined the set 10 years ago. Sarah has 20 years’ overall experience in people management, both in the chambers environment and the private sector. During that time, Sarah has managed teams of individuals across various roles of up to 65 individuals and has in almost all instances been responsible for undertaking what has traditionally been known as ‘Human Resources’ functions. These responsibilities range from conducting investigations, undertaking grievance meetings and disciplinary hearings and hearing appeals, to recruitment, informal mediation, absence management and restructures.

Jo Chatterton, Partner at Fox Williams

Jo specialises in helping employers to deal with tricky, sensitive and reputationally damaging employment issues. She has extensive experience advising professional services firms, barristers chambers, banks and insurance business conducting workplace investigations. She led the Fox Williams team which investigated the Guardian’s allegations of sexual harassment against the former Director General of the CBI and into the further allegations against the CBI relating to its workplace culture, sexual assault and drug taking.

Alexander Dunlop (LLB (Hons), PGDip, MCIArb) is a Partner at ADR Resolutions LLP and a specialist in dispute resolution. Alex has over ten years experience as a mediator, trainer, neutral, consultant and investigator. In particular Alex has designed and developed bespoke systems (and the policy suites) that embed dispute resolution in organisations reducing workplace conflict. Alex’s client base includes regulatory bodies, banking and financial sectors, public sector, charity sector, media industry and the pharmaceutical industry, both domestically and internationally. Alex has worked with organisations including Intellectual Property Office (IPO), European Patent Office (EPO), Greater London Authority (GLA), BBC, Metropolitan Police, NHS, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Law Society, and British Medical Authority (BMA).

Dee Masters is an employment, discrimination, artificial intelligence and whistleblowing specialist.

As a recognised expert in her field, her practice primarily consists of multi-week trials involving multiple and complex allegations. She is instructed by employers and employees in high value or important claims. Due to her expertise, she also regularly advises NGOs and government agencies on the development of discrimination law and she has delivered judicial training on discrimination law at ERA in Trier funded by the European Commission.

David advises barristers chambers, law firms and financial services firms on sensitive employment and discrimination issues. He co-authors the Employee Rights chapter of Global Investigation Review’s Practitioner’s Guide to Global Investigations. He was recently instructed by a Magic Circle law firm to carry out an independent investigation into a partner’s conduct.
