Find a barrister through a solicitor
Solicitors have good working relationships with barristers and are likely to be able to identify the most suitable barrister to deal with your case. Assuming the barrister identified is available and that there are no conflicts of interest, the barrister is under a duty to take on your case (this is called the 'cab rank' rule).

Find a barrister through Licensed Access
Licensed Access enables organisations or individuals that have an identifiable area of expertise or experience to apply to the Bar Standards Board to be licensed to instruct barristers directly. The license holder can instruct any member of the Bar for advice, and in some circumstances representation, on their own behalf or another's behalf in the specialist area.
